Facts & Tips •Many people have reversed diabetes and been cured of other diseases by changing their bodies from an acidic pH balance to an alkaline pH balance. The body functions best in its natural alkaline state. Many of the foods we eat are acidic and throw off that balance.
•Disease cannot exist, let alone grow, in an alkaline environment.
•Take a Coke or Pepsi, diet or regular, and drop in a bone from a chicken or steak. The soda will start to eat the bone away. After a week it will show significant loss of mass. We did this with a nail in high school. If the acid environment of a soda does this to a very hard material, what do you think it does to your soft tissues day after day after day?
•A six month study of patients with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes patients ate an alkaline diet, took appropriate supplements and performed regular aerobic exercise. All patients who completed the study were able to decrease their medications by at least 50%, many eliminated medications completely. Much of the group were able to do so after just 3 months. Warning: There were side effects. The subjects also lowered blood pressure, cholesterol levels and lost weight.
•The pancreas is the organ in our bodies that regulates the food that is processed through the stomach. If the food is highly acidic, the pancreas releases bicarbonate to bring the pH of the food from as low as 1.5 (very acidic) to 8 or 8.2 (normal body pH) that’s a jump of up to over 1 million times (a pH of 6 is 10 times more acidic than a pH of 7, 5 is 10 times more acidic than 6, etc.) When the pancreas hasn’t got enough bicarbonate, it pulls it from the blood. In fact it will pull it from any source it can to alkalize that food, because if that food is not alkalized, it will end up damaging a very sensitive and important part of our body: the intestinal villus. It’s in the intestinal villus that the food is biologically transformed into new blood and then into new body cells. If that food is improper, and it hasn’t got the proper pH, and the pancreas is stressed, everything can get out of balance.
